Poems and general conversation from Irish poet Michael O'Dea. Born in Roscommon, living in Donegal. Poetry from Ireland. (poems © Michael O’Dea, Dedalus Press, Amastra-n-Galar)

in a melancholy slant of evening light,
gazing past the tableware
at life.
In that moment,
how monumental the tea things;
how infinitely small you;
how brittle life.
